Inspired by a high school girlfriend who experienced hand cramps while crocheting, Harrison Richards carved his first ergonomic crochet hooks at 17. Since founding the company in 2012, Harrison has owned Furls. CEO Lorene Eppolite now leads our team

Products
We offer a wide range of hooks made from a variety of materials. Though some features across each range are unique, one common characteristic is the diameter of the handle. All Furls hooks feature a width that allows the MCP joint to comfortably rest in a neutral position without excessive abduction or adduction. Our hooks are designed to prevent and alleviate the hand pain traditional crochet hooks may cause or worsen.

To keep your hooks in excellent condition, wipe them gently after each use with a soft, lint-free cloth and avoid abrasive materials. Proper storage is also essential for longevity. We recommend storing them in the box they arrived in or choosing one of our Hook Storage Solutions.
We recommend washing your hands before use and avoiding lotions while handling hooks.
We recommend using digital calipers or an open crochet hook gauge for accurate measurements. Closed gauges used for knitting needles are unsuitable for measuring crochet hook heads.
Measure your hook directly below the shoulder or where the slope of the hook meets the shaft. Please see our Hook Measuring Blog Post for details (COMING SOON).
Exercise extreme caution when using metal calipers, as they can scratch the polished surface of your crochet hooks.
Our paper packaging can be recycled in most curbside recycling programs. We recommend consulting your local recycling center before disposing of products and packaging.

Streamline Metal Hooks - 100% recyclable.
100% Solid Wood Hooks and Accessories - We only use kiln-dried woods, all-natural finishing oils, and polishes, making them eco-friendly.
Resin Hooks and Accessories - Not recyclable. We hope to offer a resin recycling program in the future.
Wood and Acrylic Hooks - Not recyclable when combined with additional materials.
Wander Yarn - Acrylic yarn is not recyclable. However, it can be repurposed for
a new project in most cases!
Shipping materials - Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our shipping practices. We use recyclable boxes and tape for all our shipments, ensuring the packaging materials can be easily recycled. Additionally, any paper filler inside the box is 100% recyclable, aligning with our eco-friendly values. To properly recycle the box your order arrived in, please remove the sticker shipping label and any plastics the shipping carrier may have added.
In our efforts to minimize plastic waste, the plastic bags used to package our yarn are repurposed. Yarn arrives at our facility in packs of 10, and we save this plastic packaging to reuse for customer orders, significantly reducing our plastic footprint.
Similarly, our leather products are delivered in plastic to safeguard against potential water damage en route to our warehouse. This plastic is then reused to ship products to you, our valued customer, ensuring protection while maintaining our commitment to environmental responsibility.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover), ShopPay, and PayPal.

2. Clear Cookies and Cache: Clearing your browser's cookies and cache can solve many common issues. This option is available in your browser's settings menu.
3. Switch Browsers: If you're still having trouble, try switching to a different web browser. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome.
4. Disable Browser Extensions: Sometimes, browser extensions can interfere with website functionality. Try disabling them to see if that resolves the issue.
5. View “incognito” or “InPrivate” mode from your browser.

TRACKING
To file a claim regarding your missing order, use the Order Protection link provided in your order confirmation email. If you cannot find the link you can also use this link to file.
Ensure you have your store order number or Order Protection ID number and the associated email address on hand.

Find the status of a particular order and view your Order History on the Order Status tracking page under ‘My Account.’ Please note: it can take some carriers up to 2 business days after an order has been shipped to show updates in tracking.
We will email you a shipment notification and a tracking number as soon as your package ships. Please note: it can take some carriers up to 2 business days after an order has been shipped to show updates in tracking.
Cancel/Modify/Return
To cancel your order, email us at support@furlscrochet.com with the subject line: Cancel Order US-XXXXXX. We will do our best to cancel it, but we cannot cancel orders once they are shipped. Once you receive your order, we can issue you a return shipping label.

Missing/Damaged Items

If you purchased Order Protection during checkout, you can file a claim using the Order Protection link in your order confirmation email. If you are unable to find the link you can also use this link to file.

We replace broken hooks within three years of purchase, although some exclusions may apply. Please see our Furls Breakage Policy for details.
Discounts
For Desktop: You can enter your promo code at any point of checkout. On the right side of the page in your Cart, below your order summary, enter your code in the field labeled "Add gift card or discount code” and then click “Apply.”
For Mobile: During checkout, tap "Show Order Summary" at the top of your screen. When the section expands, enter your code in the space labeled "Add gift card or discount code" and click "Apply."
Only one promo code can be applied to your order. Please see our Discounts Policy for details.
Please check that your cart meets all requirements, e.g., the minimum number of quantities added to the cart, the minimum order value reached before taxes and shipping, the item you want to purchase isn’t excluded from the promotion, or that you aren’t attempting to add multiple discount codes.

SHIPPING
Our average processing time is 3-5 business days, although times may be longer due to changes in order volume, seasonal peaks, carrier disruptions, and warehouse closures, including holidays.
Processing time does not include shipping time. We will update the information regarding any additional processing time delays on our website and in order confirmation emails as we become aware. Once your order is on its way, we'll send you a shipping confirmation email with tracking details so that you can monitor its journey to you.
We're committed to processing your orders swiftly, but we appreciate your patience during periods of high demand or when our team is observing holidays.
We know mistakes happen. To edit your shipping address, please email us at support@furlscrochet.com with the subject line: Edit Shipping Address Order US-XXXXXX. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but once orders are shipped, address changes are not possible.

We use USPS and UPS for domestic shipments and Passport consolidation services for international orders. Shipping costs vary depending on the method chosen during the checkout process.
Shipping rates are calculated in real time as you add items to your cart and select your shipping destination.
International customers are required to pay import duties and taxes for their purchases.
DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid): the recipient pays all import duties and taxes upon arrival.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): the recipient pays all import duties and taxes before shipping.
*Most international packages are shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). DDP includes all duties, taxes, and fees; therefore, your cart's prices may differ.
US orders of $60* or more
Canadian or UK orders of $120* or more
Other International orders of $160* or more
*The free shipping minimum is calculated based on prices in USD (United States Dollars), after discounts and before taxes, shipping, and duties. International customers are still responsible for paying customs and duties fees under the “shipping” costs during checkout if selecting DDP (Delivered Duties Paid.)

We are unable to combine orders.

Yes, we do offer expedited shipping. Please note that expedited shipping does not include expedited processing time. While we will process expedited orders within three business days, it is not guaranteed, particularly during high demand or warehouse closures during holidays.
Deliveries to 'PO Boxes' are available for domestic shipments using USPS.
Most international packages are shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), including all duties, taxes, and fees (see “What is DDU and DDP” in our Shipping section above.) Please contact our Customer Experience team if the courier asks you to pay these fees again. They will be able to contact the courier directly to see the cause of the problem. If you paid the fees before contacting our team, we can reimburse you via PayPal or store credit, whichever you prefer.
